Property Spotlight: Macadamia and Murraya, Macquarie Fields

In case you missed it, we’re thrilled to be welcoming two news homes to the Good Housing portfolio, both scheduled for completion in 2023!

Located in Sydney’s Campbelltown region (and in close proximity to a range of local services and amenities), Macadamia and Murraya have been thoughtfully designed and curated to support the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our tenants and their families.

Both dwellings will feature two 1-bedroom, independent villas (designed for High Physical Support tenants) and an adjoining 2-resident house (designed for Fully Accessible tenants); the entire project housing eight eligible participants* in total. View homes>

As with all homes in the Good Housing stable, Macadamia and Murraya have been thoughtfully designed with tenant comfort, independence, and safety front of mind.

Dwellings feature spacious, open floor plans, wide doorways and pathways, customisable kitchens and cabinetry and external ramp access to support full wheelchair accessibility.

Bathrooms and private ensuites have also been designed to support high level physical access and wheelchair mobility, including the provision for hand railings and ceiling hoists to be custom fit per each tenants’ requirements and funding. Enquire now>

While each dwelling has been designed to support complete, independent living, tenants of both Macadamia and Murraya will have the option to live independently (single occupancy) or alongside a likeminded housemate(shared occupancy), per their preferences and funding eligibility.

What’s more? All tenants will have access to our preferred SIL provider Royal Rehab, with six private carers rooms located on-site.

One of Australia’s oldest and most trusted support providers, Royal Rehab has been empowering individuals to achieve as much independence and quality of life as possible, since 1989.

Royal Rehab’s multidisciplinary team of skilled healthcare professionals are experts in their fields. And will be on hand 24/7 to ensure the safety and comfort of all tenants.

Current Vacancies:

While Macadamia and Murraya aren’t scheduled for completion until October 2023, our tenant empowerment team are currently processing expressions of interest for both dwellings and invite prospective tenants and support coordinators to submit their online enquiries today.

Due to the limited number of independent and shared vacancies currently available, all participants will be assessed according to their eligibility, and on a first come, first served basis.

We encourage all participants and support coordinators to apply now to secure your spot.

Participant Eligibility:

These dwellings have been designed to support the needs of High Physical Support (HPS) and Fully Accessible (FA) participants.

To apply for Macadamia or Murraya, participants will need to be approved (or likely to be approved) for SDA funding (HPS or FA) in their NDIS plan.

Evidence of SDA approval should include a written letter from the NDIA stating: tenant eligibility for SDA funding, the total amount of funding you are eligible for, designated design category and the SDA location you or your tenant is approved for.

Macadamia and Murraya are both scheduled for completion in October of 2023. Good Housing invites all SDA participants and support representatives to apply for available tenancies by enquiring now or calling us on 02 8077 1110.
