As we begin the long-anticipated countdown to Spring (anyone else ready to ditch the doonas?), we at Good Housing are thrilled to reveal our own exciting development…
…and you guessed it!
This month we’ll commence construction of, not one, but two NEW dwellings in the heart of Sydney’s South. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re pleased to introduce the latest additions to the Good Housing portfolio, Jacaranda and Jasmine: two smart and healthy homes located in the warm and friendly suburb of Jannali, Sydney.
Scheduled for completion early 2024, Jacaranda and Jasmine and are conveniently situated in the heart of Sydney’s South, a short distance from local shops and restaurants, parklands, ovals, and reserves, as well as the renowned Jannali Community Centre. Both are also accessible by car and public transport, with the nearest bus stop only a minute away.
Designed to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our tenants, Jacaranda and Jasmine were created with Robust and High Physical Support (HPS) participants front of mind, with scope for extra accessibility modifications to be made under tenants’ funding.
While Jacaranda houses 5 new purposefully built villas (designed under the Robust category), Jasmine features a series of two 2-bedroom shared villas (designed for HPS tenants), each with its own private balcony and access to a shared common indoor/outdoor space.
What’s more? Each villa features a modern and striking architectural design, spacious and functional kitchen (with the option for adjustable bench tops) and a private en-suite bathroom complete with a heated under-floor(perfect for the cooler months).
As with all Good Housing homes, Jacaranda and Jasmine will be powered by the latest in assistive technology, to ensure the independence and comfort of all our tenants.
And as our team prepares to kick off construction later this month, we’re excited to share (yet another!) exciting announcement, namely our alignment with Sylvanvale, who will be on hand to support all tenants of Jacaranda and Jasmine on every step of their journey!
The Sylvanvale team are highly skilled in supporting people to live independently in their homes and local communities. Sylvanvale currently provide 24/7 home based supports in 39 locations throughout the Greater Sydney Region.
Moreover, Sylvanvale understands that everyone in life has different goals and different ways of building confidence. So, it is really important that [the team] work together with all tenants, to achieve the life they choose to live.
