Pru Goward

With a career spanning journalism, public policy, advocacy and government, Pru Goward brings deep leadership experience and a strong sense of purpose to her role as a Board Member at Good Housing. Her professional background includes roles in media, academia, regulatory leadership and public office, including serving as a Minister in the New South Wales Government across a number of significant social portfolios. Through this work, Prudence has developed a deep understanding of the importance of housing, wellbeing and human-centred systems in improving people’s lives.

Pru joined Good Housing because of its clear commitment to providing better housing for people with disability and the opportunity to contribute to an organisation focused on both impact and growth. She believes quality housing should be thoughtfully designed, personally attractive and supportive of people’s needs without ever feeling institutional. Guided by a strong sense of purpose, Pru believes that a life shaped by opportunity brings with it a responsibility to make life better for others
