In the case of the genesis of Good Housing, it's quite clear that - as Nietzsche stated - “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how”. As it pertains to Specialist Disability Housing, and perhaps any operations within the disability sector, a pattern appears to be evident: one must have a source of motivation that exists outside of the bottom line.
Introducing Kevin, one of our incredible tenants. After 765 days in a temporary hospital facility, due to insufficient housing opportunities, Kevin had no where to go. After meeting Sam and the team at Good Housing, he was successfully able to transition into one our purposefully built Good home in Mount Colah, NSW. Here is Kevin’s story.
Good Housing hosts official launch for Oak Tree Project;
On Friday, 23rd October 2020 Good Housing held a launch for the very first SDA project - Oak Tree. This project is a fully functional Specialist Disability Accommodation Home and sits in the idyllic, verdant neighbourhood of Mount Colah.

Investment To Assist In The Build of 50 Specialised Disability Homes
Good Housing has secured it’s cornerstone investment. A combined pooling of Heavy-weights Hesta, Suncorp & The Paul Ramsay Foundation which forms a part of the Synergis Fund (founded by Social Ventures Australia; SVA) aims to eventually accrue $1 billion set aside for the investment in Specialist Disability Housing (SDA).
Good Housing has taken their first step towards their goal of pioneering a new way of living for extraordinary members of our society. The completion of the company's pilot home Oak Tree, presents a giant leap towards housing tenants in fully immersive, customisable environments that give them autonomy and ultimately a home.
