A New Chapter for Good Housing: Announcing Changes to Our Leadership Team

As Good Housing continues to grow and evolve as a trusted provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation, I am proud to share an important announcement about the future leadership of our organisation, and the next chapter of our journey.

Good Housing was founded for a deeply personal reason: the challenge our own family faced in finding suitable, dignified housing for loved ones living with autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy. From those origins, it has been remarkable to watch a small, family-run organisation develop into a market-leading provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation, changing the lives of participants across New South Wales and Victoria. That foundation of lived experience and empathy continues to shape our work and guide every decision we make.

It is in this spirit, and with great excitement, that I would like to announce some important changes to the leadership of Good Housing.

Effective 1 July, Kristy Simmonds will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Good Housing. Drawing on her outstanding expertise and deep sector experience, Kristy will extend and expand upon the work she has done to date in overseeing the operational strength and performance of the business and elevating the experience we deliver for our tenants.

Having joined our organisation first as a consultant, and then Chief Operating Officer, Kristy has been instrumental in shaping both the culture and trajectory of Good Housing, leading some of our most significant milestones with persistence, rigour and care. I truly believe that there is no one better placed to guide Good Housing forward, and I have every confidence she will lead with the same empathy and ambition that have defined our organisation from the beginning.

As part of this transition, I will be moving into the role of Group Managing Director, where I will continue to focus on the long-term vision, growth and stewardship of the broader Good Housing group, ensuring our mission and values remain at the core of all we do. I relish the opportunity to continue working alongside our experienced and driven board as we guide Good Housing into its next phase of evolution.

I am also delighted to share that Luke Khamis will transition into the role of Managing Director of Development and Finance, bringing together two areas central to our continued growth and the long-term sustainability of the homes we deliver. As our Chief Financial Officer, Luke has led our team through a number of pivotal acquisitions, applying financial rigour and a steady hand to every transaction, and has proven himself a capable and trusted leader.

I am equally proud to share that Corey Kavanagh will step into the role of General Manager, Development, building on the dedication and leadership he has demonstrated throughout his time at Good Housing. Since joining us, Corey has progressed rapidly through the organisation, quickly proving his capability in both acquisitions and property development and earning a promotion to Development Manager. He will now lead our growing acquisition and development pipeline with skill and determination.

These changes come at a period of true growth for Good Housing. Following the recent acquisition of the St John of God Marillac SDA portfolio, and with a strong pipeline of homes ahead, we are scaling in line with sector demand and the needs of the participants we support. This evolution in leadership reflects both how far we have come and the strength of the team that will carry us forward.

Our work continues to be led by empathy, underpinned by a commitment to continuous improvement, and aligned with the broader goal of improving housing outcomes for people with disability, particularly in the areas of greatest need. It is a true privilege to be in a position to give the gift of dignified living to those who need and deserve it.

I want to thank our team, our partners, and the communities we serve for their continued trust and support. Most importantly, I want to thank our tenants, who place their trust in us each and every day and give us our reason for being.

As we enter this next chapter together, our focus remains exactly where it has always been: on empowering extraordinary lives through modern, dignified housing, and on ensuring every Australian, regardless of ability or background, has access to a place that feels like home.

Here's to this next chapter, together.

Antony Anisse, Group Managing Director, Good Housing
