Good News: What’s Ahead for Good Housing in 2026 and Beyond!

We share six key updates shaping the next chapter of Good Housing.

Moving into a new home is a significant life moment, and at Good Housing, we honour the care, trust, and collaboration that this journey deserves. Our focus has always extended beyond the physical homes themselves - it’s about creating places where people feel supported, connected, and able to live with independence and dignity.

Across New South Wales and Victoria, we continue to grow thoughtfully and with purpose. With new homes nearing completion, additional projects underway, and partnerships continuing to strengthen, this is an important period of progress for our organisation and the communities we support.

Here’s a look at six key developments currently shaping what’s ahead for Good Housing.

Good Housing: Eastgardens Artist's Render

1. Good Housing is coming to Sydney’s East

You called, we listened - and for the first time, Good Housing is setting down roots in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, marking an important growth milestone in New South Wales.

With new homes planned in Eastgardens, Pagewood, and Maroubra, this expansion reflects our commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed Specialist Disability Accommodation in locations where participants can remain connected to their families, support networks, and local communities.

Our Pagewood project is currently tracking toward completion in mid-2026, with Eastgardens expected to follow in late 2026. Planning and early-stage works are also progressing in Maroubra, further strengthening Good Housing’s presence across Sydney’s eastern corridor.

These homes represent an important step in expanding access to high-quality, accessible housing in well-connected locations that support long-term wellbeing and independence.

Our team is continuing to progress these projects and looks forward to sharing further updates as they move closer to completion.

2. Construction underway across Melbourne’s inner south-east and Essendon

Yes, you read correctly - work is now underway on a number of new Good Housing developments across Melbourne, bringing more high-quality SDA homes to communities across Victoria.

New homes are progressing in Edithvale and Mordialloc, expanding access to thoughtfully designed Specialist Disability Accommodation across Melbourne’s inner south-east. Construction has also commenced in Essendon and Essendon North, further strengthening our presence in the city’s inner north-west.

These homes are expected to reach completion progressively from mid-2026 through to late 2026, with Essendon currently tracking toward completion in Q2 2026 and Essendon North in Q3 2026. Each development has been designed in line with NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation standards, supporting a range of participant needs across categories such as High Physical Support, Fully Accessible, Improved Liveability, and Robust.

Each location has been carefully selected for its proximity to transport, healthcare, and essential services, helping ensure future tenants remain connected to their communities and support networks.

We are proud and excited to welcome the first tenants into our newest homes in Terrey Hills and Hamlyn Terrace.

These homes have been carefully developed to support independence, accessibility, and wellbeing, providing participants with safe, high-quality Specialist Disability Accommodation in well-connected and supportive environments. The transition of tenants into their new homes reflects the care, collaboration, and planning that underpins the work of Good Housing.

Located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Central Coast regions respectively, both Terrey Hills and Hamlyn Terrace offer access to essential services, local amenities, and community networks, helping ensure participants remain connected to the people and places that matter most.
