On Friday 12th November, Good Housing teamed up with Scope Australia (in their first NSW foray!), to officiate the commencement of construction for Blue Gum and Red Robin in Sydney’s northern suburb, Hornsby.
The teams donned their best hi-vis jackets, hard-hats, and shovels, as they formally announced this special project and newest Specialist Disability Accommodation.
Live-streamed to audiences across NSW and Victoria, Sam Graiche (Co-Founder and Head of Housing Innovation, Good Housing), alongside Lee Carpenter (Chief Growth Officer, Scope Australia), welcomed the virtual audience to the momentous occasion, detailing the significance of their collaboration, and what tenants can expect from Good Housing’s newest SDA homes.
Scheduled for completion in 2022, Blue Gum and Red Robin are situated amid Sydney’s lush and leafy Northern Suburbs; a mere 19 kilometres from the CBD, and a short distance from an array of health services, amenities, and transportation options.
While Blue Gum will house 5 new purposefully built villas (designed under the Robust Category), Red Robin will feature two 2-bedroom independent villas (designed for HPS tenants) and an adjoining 2-resident shared villa (designed for Fully Accessible tenants).
Following the immense success of our first ever 'Breaking Ground' event (NSW, we did it!) the team at Good Housing are thrilled to get the ball rolling on more exceptional future events, with strong collaborations across NSW and Australia.
