Good News: What's in the works for 2024?

We recap six of Good Housing's biggest developments for 2024/25. Read all about it!

Moving into a new home is a special life event, and at Good Housing, we celebrate the importance of this process.

In collaboration with a handpicked troupe of dedicated Supported Independent Living (SIL) partners, our team works tirelessly to ensure a smooth and positive transition for each of our extraordinary tenants, ensuring no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of Good living.

Our commitment to our tenants goes beyond the physical structure of our SDA dwellings. It's about creating thriving communities that nurture independence, inclusivity, and comfort for all tenants.

It’s not just our hope, it’s our guiding principle: that all individuals, regardless of ability or background, be given equal access to a place that feels like home.

And as we look back upon another stellar year (where does the time go?) we're brimming with excitement for the line-up of new projects and partnerships on the horizon.

So without further ado, here are six of Good Housing's most momentous developments for 2024/25—a testament to our commitment to providing safe and healthy homes that support our tenants' accessibility needs, aspirations, and agency.

1. New doors are (officially) opening in January and beyond!

Inside Banksia in Bradbury

After our 2023 launch events for Warragul and Macquarie Fields, we are thrilled to be officiating the completion of our Toongabbie, Bradbury, Pakenham, and Safety Beach projects early 2024!

First off the rank, our home stunning Sandersonia property features six spacious 1-bedroom Robust villas, comfortably situated in the heart of Toongabbie. Meanwhile, our newly completed Banksia project in Bradbury comprises three warm and welcoming HPS villas as well as a HPS/IL 2-resident house.

Over in Pakenham, our beautiful new Pear Tree home welcomes a suite of two 2-resident houses, the first designed for High Physical Support (HPS) and the second for Improved Liveability (IL) participants. Lastly, our spacious and stylish Salt Bush property in Safety Beach comprises two 2-resident shared villas and two adjoining independent villas designed for Robust participants.

To mark these exciting project completions, Good Housing will be hosting a series of open home and launch events to kick off the new year. If you haven't done so already, ensure that you are signed up for The Good News to stay updated on all our upcoming news and events.
