Good News: What's in the works for 2022?

We recap five of Good Housing's biggest developments for 2022/23. Read all about it.

And just like that… we’re almost halfway through another year.

Which begs the age-old question: where does the time go?

As the world continues to navigate post-pandemic living (and make up for lost travel time and flight miles), the team at Good Housing have been busy making magic in the Specialist Disability Accommodation arena, signing off and starting anew on a string of exciting projects.

Here, we recap five of our biggest developments for 2022, leading up to a big and brilliant 2023!

1. Construction kicks off in Hornsby and Bradbury:

In case you missed it, we officially broke ground on our new homes in Hornsby and Bradbury, with completion forecasted for later this year.

Our Hornsby homes Blue Gum and Red Robin are situated in Sydney’s lush and leafy Northern Suburbs, a mere 19 kilometres from the CBD anda short distance from an array of health services, amenities, and transportation options.

While Blue Gum will house 5 new purposefully built villas (designed under the Robust Category), Red Robin will feature two 2-bedroom independent villas (designed for HPS tenants) and an adjoining 2-resident shared villa (designed for Fully Accessible tenants).

Read more about Blue Gum and Red Robin here.

Our Bradbury home, Banksia marks Good Housing's first offering in South-West Sydney, and will feature three 1-bedroom High Physical Support (HPS) villas and an adjoining 2-resident HPS and/or Improved Liveability (IL) villa.

Of Good Housing’s expansion into Bradbury, Co-Founder Antony Anisse shares, “We identified a clear need for purpose-built, specialist disability accommodation within South-West Sydney, specifically the Campbelltown region.”

He adds, "As with all of our projects, our goal for Bradbury is to work hand in hand with our SIL partners to radically improve the quality of living of our tenants".

2. ...and the Sutherland Shire:

In yet more exciting news, we’re moments from starting construction of our new homes in Jannali, with the official Breaking Ground ceremony scheduled for May.

Set for completion later this year, Jacaranda and Jasmine and are conveniently situated in the heart of Sydney’s South, a short distance from local shops and restaurants, medical facilities, parklands, ovals, and reserves, as well as public transportation options.

While Jacaranda will house 5 new purposefully built villas (designed under the Robust category), Jasmine will feature a series of two 2-bedroom shared villas (designed for HPS tenants), each with its own private balcony and access to a shared common indoor/outdoor space.

3. Lilly Pilly unveiled, and first tenants welcomed!

After countless hours of work and collaboration, we opened the doors to our Lilly Pilly home in April, welcoming a host of special guests and family members to our official launch event.

Our first home in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Lilly Pilly is comfortably nestled in the heart of Dee Why, and comprises five brand new 1-bedroom villas designed under the NDIS High Physical Support (HPS) and Fully Accessible (FA) categories.

Fresh off Lilly Pilly’s official unveiling, we soon welcomed three new tenants to the Good Housing family, with another two tenants to move in very soon!

While we are only accepting waitlist applications for Lilly Pilly at present, we invite you to express your interest in a number of other soon-to-be-built homes across NSW, by filling out a short enquiry form.

4. Plans underway for new projects across NSW:

While we're on the subject of exciting new developments... We're thrilled to announce our latest land acquisitions in Tahmoor and Albury! These projects will join our Macquarie Fields and Toongabbie homes in the all-too-vital planning and design phase, with construction on each to progressively commence over the coming months.

Exciting developments (and a sign of things to come!), we look forward to sharing more about these emerging projects very soon!

5. Good Housing is coming to Victoria!

Yes, you read correctly: Good Housing is set to expand into our neighbour state, Victoria! While you'll have to wait a little longer to learn more about these new projects, we can reveal our early stage plans for new builds in the South East region of Melbourne. Be sure to watch this space!

Could you see yourself or a family member living in one of our purposefully built smart homes? We'd love to hear from you! Express your interest in one of our established or emerging properties by emailing info@goodhousing.com.au
