Good News: What's in the works for 2023?

We recap six of Good Housing's biggest developments for 2023/24. Read all about it!

With a commitment to providing the highest standards of quality living for tenants, Good Housing has identified the areas in greatest need for new SDA housing and is working tirelessly to create homes that are both functional and beautiful.

But our work doesn't stop there...

From our integrated design and build all the way through to tenant transition and support services in collaboration with our wonderful SIL partners, the team is fiercely dedicated to championing our tenants across every step of their SDA journeys.

And with a host of new and exciting projects on the horizon (not that anyone's counting!) these are our six biggest and brightest developments for 2023!

1. Coming October 2023: Sandersonia in Toongabbie.

We’re proud to announce the upcoming completion of Sandersonia, our new SDA home in Toongabbie!

Set for unveiling in October 2023, Sandersonia is located in the heart of Sydney's diverse and bustling Western Suburbs, and is close to an array of transportation options and amenities. Sandersonia is a project that combines style, modernity and functionality to create the perfect living space for Robust participants.

The six independent villas are purpose-built to cater to the unique needs of our tenants, with ample room for modifications as per their funding and requirements. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of this home has been crafted with care and attention to detail.

From modern and spacious living areas through to safe, accessible bathrooms and bedrooms, every detail has been considered to ensure Sandersonia is a space our tenants will be proud to call home!

2. Next up... Jacaranda and Jasmine in Jannali.

Hot on the heels of Sandersonia? Two new homes in Jannali: Jacaranda and Jasmine, both of which are scheduled for completion early 2024.

Jacaranda boasts five stunning new independent villas, each designed under the SDA Robust category while, right next door, Jasmine offers two beautiful 2-resident shared villas, perfect for those requiring High Physical Support (HPS) provisions.

With access to a shared common indoor/outdoor space, tenants will never be short of space to relax, socialise and unwind. What's more, participants will be able to enjoy the many benefits of living in the thriving community of Jannali, such as easy access to public transportation, shopping centres, and recreational facilities.

Plus, with plenty of parks, walking trails, and outdoor spaces in the surrounding area, residents can enjoy an active lifestyle and the beauty of the great outdoors!

3. Three new homes coming to Campbelltown, NSW.

Get ready, south-west Sydney. Good Housing has heard your call for purpose-built, specialist disability accommodation in the Campbelltown region, and we're answering with not one, but three brand-new homes!

First up on the list is Banksia in Bradbury, a modern marvel boasting three independent villas and a two-resident house designed for High Physical Support (HPS) and Improved Liveability (IL) participants. This setup is perfect for those who crave their own space but still want to live with like-minded housemates.

Next up, Murraya and Macadamia in Macquarie Fields. These purpose-built, specialist disability accommodation homes offer a suite of two private villas, perfect for those requiring High Physical Support (HPS) provisions, as well as an adjoining two-resident house designed for Fully Accessible (FA) tenants.

What's more? Macadamia and Murraya are situated just a stone's throw away from local amenities, so you'll always have everything you need right at your fingertips. Whether it's grabbing a coffee at the nearby cafe, taking a stroll through the picturesque park, or running errands at the shops, you'll never be far from the action.

4. Five new VIC projects scheduled for 2023 completion.

We are excited to announce our first projects in Victoria, having identified the need for purpose-built, specialist disability accommodation within this region.

Located in Warragul, our Wattle project comprises two 3-resident houses and two independent villas designed to meet the needs of High Physical Support (HPS) participants. Meanwhile, our Pear Tree project in Pakenham features a suite two 2-resident houses, the first designed for High Physical Support (HPS) and the second for Improved Liveability (IL) participants.

In South Morang, our Snow Gum project offers four independent villas designed for Robust tenants. Over in Safety Beach, our Salt Bush project features two 2-resident shared villas and two adjoining independent villas designed for Robust participants.

Lastly, our Blue Bell home in Bendigo comprises a suite of two  independent villas and a 2-resident house designed for High Physical Support (HPS) and Improved Liveability (IL) participants.

We're excited to bring our passion and expertise in creating purpose-built, specialist disability accommodation to Victoria, and to help meet the needs of extraordinary individuals in Warragul, Pakenham South Morang, Safety Beach and Bendigo!

5. ...with three more set to be finished soon after!

As if Good Housing wasn't already on a roll, brace yourselves for even more exciting news.

Three new homes will be added to our Victorian portfolio by the end of 2023/early 2024. Get ready to meet the newest members of our Good Housing family!

Located in Doveton, our Dove Tree project comprises four independent villas designed to meet the unique needs of Robust participants. Meanwhile Silky Oak in St Albans will offer a mix of shared and independent living arrangements, with four independent High Physical Support (HPS) villas and two adjoining 2-resident Fully Accessible (FA) houses.

Last but not least, our second Pakenham home: Pine Tree will host will host two 3-bedroom houses (HPS/IL) and an adjoining independent villa (HPS).

As with all homes in the Good Housing stable, each dwelling will feature the latest in assistive technology, with scope for additional modifications to be made within tenants' funding. Stay tuned for more information and progress updates on Dove Tree, Silky Oak and Pine Tree in the coming months!

6. Tea Tree and River Gum scheduled for 2023 completion.

Last but certainly not least, we're excited to share an update on two more SDA homes that are expected to be completed in 2023: River Gum in Albury and Tea Tree in Tahmoor.

River Gum, located in Albury, will feature three independent villas designed for High Physical Support (HPS) and Robust participants and an adjoining 2-resident house designed with HPS participants front of mind. These dwellings are situated in the heart of Albury, with easy access to local shops, cafes, and parks. Each villa has been purpose-built to meet the unique needs of our tenants, with modern and stylish finishes throughout.

Meanwhile, Tea Tree in Tahmoor will comprise five independent Robust villas, each designed to ensure tenants can live comfortably and with maximum independence. Tahmoor is located in the Macarthur Region of NSW and is within close proximity to local amenities such as shops, cafes, and medical centres.
